Miscellaneous Projects
This page showcases a selection of interdisciplinary projects, including a therapeutic shoe designed for people with diabetes and RingMed, a home medication management system with a companion app. RingMed is designed to blend naturally into the home while automating pill dispensing, reminders, inventory tracking, and refills—demonstrating how thoughtful design can support daily health routines with ease and elegance.
RingMed
RingMed is a home medication management system with a companion app. Designed to look at home in any home, RingMed automatically dispenses the user’s pills exactly when they’re scheduled, at exactly the right dose.
RingMed allows the user to upload prescription schedules directly from the label to a smartphone and will send reminders to take their pills. It also tracks pill inventory and will automatically order more when supply gets too low.
Therapeutic Shoe
This project explores the design of an attractive and functional shoe for individuals with diabetes, combining therapeutic benefits with a more wearable, everyday aesthetic. The shoe is designed to meet standards set by the Pricing, Data Analysis, and Coding (PDAC) system, which determines eligibility for medical reimbursement under Medicare. It addresses common diabetic foot concerns such as swelling, pressure relief, and ease of use, while incorporating lightweight, breathable materials for comfort and long-term wear.
